How do influential leaders communicate?

Language is a fundamental communication tool and is how leaders provide guidance, coordinate efforts, and get their work done through others' cooperation and expertise.

Looking at the most successful and influential leaders shows us that one of their fundamental abilities is knowing how to communicate.

A study out of the U.S. by the Economist Intelligence Unit cited two alarming statistics from the over 400 participants from varying organizational positions. 52 percent of respondents say that communication breakdowns have led to stress, and 31 percent say that low morale results from poor communication at work.

44 percent of respondents cite miscommunication as the primary cause of failure to complete projects.

We have all been impacted by poor communication at some point and know the difficulty it can cause. Influential leaders know this and are constantly working on their ability to communicate.
