About the Event
Stress will impact most people at some point and is a natural part of life.
Stress is a natural response to a threat. In today's fast past world, the threats are looming deadlines, unrelenting workloads or family conflicts.
In a recent Canadian poll, one-quarter of those polled indicated that they feel quite a bit stressed or extremely stressed on most days. The American Psychological Association is calling stress an epidemic and a current mental health crisis.
Becoming overstressed can occur when you do not allow the nervous system to reset. The stress pattern becomes chronic, and you are always activated. This constant activation can lead to many health and relationship issues.
Understanding stress and its impacts is a crucial way of reducing its effects. Self-awareness is critical.
